According to Jim resurrected for seventh season

I thought the days of According to Jim were done, especially when ABC failed to put it on their new 2007-2008 programming schedule they released in May for advertisers. But According to Jim has been given a reprieve with ABC ordering up 18 epsisodes for a seventh season. The show stars John Belushi and former Melrose Place and Ally McBeal alum Courtney Thorne-Smith.

No word on when the show will air its first seventh season episode, but it will be scheduled as a mid-season replacement.

According to Jim season premiere with back to back episodes

According to Jim has been a long-time solid performer for ABC. Now, after being bumped off the fall schedule, they now will premiere this week with back-to-back episodes.

First, the season premiere, episode titled The Punch:

Jim thinks Cheryl has turned Kyle into a mama’s boy and doesn’t approve. He takes the reigns and teaches Kyle how to become a “man” by teaching him to throw the perfect punch to defend himself against the school bully. However Kyle enjoys his new punching skills so much that he gets suspended for repeatedly hitting the other kid.

Then immediately following we have the episode “The Flannelsexual”:

Jim unintentionally becomes a guest on a talk show where he angers Cheryl by expressing the view that men shouldn’t let women “feminize” them — and he uses his refusal to attend Dana’s co-ed baby shower as an example.

And it all starts Wednesday, January 3rd on ABC at 8pm.
